An overview of this program’s objectives and how you can benefit

The ten-week Summer Associate Program is an opportunity for high caliber MBA students to experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by taking on the responsibilities and functions of full-time generalist Associates. Joining the Associate "pool" you may work alongside Associates and senior bankers on a wide range of transactions and business development initiatives from all areas of Investment Banking. The program typically gives you a strong foundation in the basic skills of financial problem solving, negotiation and execution, and experience marketing the firm's products and services effectively.

The Summer Associate Program generally features a number of social events and networking lunches to discuss career opportunities and extend your contacts.

Requirements

You must be studying for an MBA. In addition, you will need to display the personal qualities outlined for the full-time Associate role. Both oral and written fluency in English are required and fluency in Mandarin or Korean is beneficial.

Selection Process

We typically conduct at least two rounds of interviews for our Associate program. Interviews will be arranged either on campus or via phone for the first round. The final stage of our process is usually a half-day interview session held at our offices in New York or Hong Kong.
